Wedding Card

This stamp is by PSX and it is the hardest stamp for me to use....I colored the image with my Dove Blender pen and SU! ink. Then I applied shimmer chalk to the roses and the white center heart, though it is hard to see in the photo. The River Rock layer is inspired by the wedding invitations which had that color and white on them. The Mr & Mrs stamp is by Stampendous.

Do any of you have this image?! If you do....I'd love to see what you've come up with for card designs using it. I was attempting to match the wedding colors, otherwise I would have done the cuttlebug layer in cream cardstock as well, which I think I would have liked better. I was aiming for an elegant feel. Thanks for stopping by!

Graduation Bella

I got this image from Debbie....thanks! Had fun coloring her....the Bellas are just so fun to color! A very simple card....used faux stitching and doodling, ribbon is by The Paper Studio and was perfect for the simple look of the card. The glitter dots are by Dress It Up! You may not be able to see it, but the roses, tassle and scroll are accented with Copic Spica Glitter pens.
come back tomorrow to see a wedding card!!!

Heard You Caught A Bug!

Well...what can I say....I've got bugs on my mind!!! Hubby has a sinus infection. DS has blisters on his eardrums a *10 out of 10 bad* ear infection and DD has an ear infection in one ear! Thus the *buggy* card!!! The images are from Whipper Snapper and are colored with Studio2/Copic markers. The Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug Folder is used on the Wild Wasabi cardstock.
The awesome ribbon is from Debbie....thanks, I love it!!!! I used the Copic Spica pens on the quilt buttons and the ice pack dots. A little hand doodling finished things off.

This piece was also inspired by Catherine's challenge to use this inspiration piece!

Learn how to fly!

I'm back! I'm over my cold and my rummage sale was a success! I take the kids to the dr tomorrow to see if they *still* have ear infections...but the colds seem to be gone. Hubby seems to have more than a fun.

This card was done on glossy paper that I did the baby wipe swipe technique on. For this you simply fold a baby wipe the long way into a long narrow strip. I *pinch* mine around a pencil into a very *rustic* stamp. Then I drop drops of reinkers randomly down the wipe in a row. For this one I used Certainly Celery and Almost Amethyst. The drops do not have to touch...this leaves nice little white streaks which I think are very funky. Then just pull your *stamp* across a sheet of glossy cardstock. You can do straight lines, curvy lines or in this case....I did plaid!

For this card I had the idea to run the glossy piece through the cuttlebug and then sand the stripes for some subtle interest. The stamp is by Artisitc Outpost. The flower is by Prima, the ribbon by May Arts, the gem by EK Success.

Phew....what a week! Lots going on....getting ready for a rummage sale.....sick kids....who needs more?! Ack! I've no new cards to share.....I'm itching to get stamping....but first I need to clear out this clutter. Then I'll be just down to the stamping clutter and that is far more enjoyable!! LOL! Instead of a new card I'm just going to give you a peek at some happy mail I rec'd recently that just really made my day.....thanks SO MUCH girls!!!!

Catherine....what a hoot this was to get! I love all the blue stuff....and the flowery stuff! I forgot to stick one of the stamps in the photo....and the chocolate....well I hate to tell you this, but chocolate just doesn't photograph well!! LOL! The card is very gorgeous...Thank You!!
Debbie sent me this wonderful pile of yum recently! I'm so ready to color images and oogle that lucious ribbon some more! I posted the turtle card the other day that came with this....and she sent some of her one sheet wonder project too!! The chocolate rule applies to you too.....but feel free to keep sending it.....I'll keep trying to photograph it! LOL!!

Simply Springy!

I got the idea from this card on the idea of split embossing using the cuttlebug folders! It gives such a subtle but yet classy look! The flower stamp is by SU! and is done with the wet wipe technique. (dropping Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue and Almost Amethyst reinkers onto a wet wipe to make a homemade *rainbow* ink pad) I used the SU! slit punch to make the scalloped border and used a 1/8 inch hole punch in each scallop. The flower punch is by Empunchlar...but any little flower would do. The gem is by Mark Richards. The card base is Bashful Blue by SU!
This pretty little card is from my Little Secret Sister on SCS. We had a great time getting to know one another. I sent her some images...and I'm loving getting to see what she makes with them. I may just have so send her some more if she's going to send them back to me as cards!!!
Love the springy colors on this one. Keep an eye on her blog for details on how she made this since now she'll be posting it since I've seen it!! Have a wonderfully springy week!!!

Another Mother's Day Card

This card was done using the Empunchlar tool. A lady lent it to me and wanted me to do a workshop using the tool some time ago. The tool allows you to punch the leaves in a circle perfectly. The flower punches could be any flower....but for these I used a tiny sun punch for my flower centers. I attached the flowers with glue dots and the sun with Tombo Mono Aqua Liquid Glue. Corner punches are by SU!, and I thought the faux stitching just finished it off nice.
The Happy Mother's Day is stamped in a 2 1/4 inch circle and is highlighted with a white Signo pen and Copic Spica Glitter Pens. The scallop is the pink Marvy punch. Thanks for stopping by!!

Just For You~

This is my second Faux Velvet- My Way card. Same paper, the lighter color. Very fun stuff!
The designer paper is Background Papers Book 3 (Springtime) the colors in it! The punches used are Marvy purple scallop oval, Marvy pink oval and Martha Stewart flower. Cuttlebug paisley folder, Creative Imaginations Ribbon, Printworks sentiment, Penny Black butterfly. The butterfly is done using the wet wipe technique. You drop reinkers onto a folded wet wipe making your own rainbow type *ink pad.* For this I used Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink and Almost Amethyst (SU!). The white layers on this card are shimmer paper.

Faux Velvet ~ My Way!!

I have no idea if there is a faux velvet technique out there...but I came up with this one today out of the blue and velvet is what it reminded me of.

I ran some Tempting Tanzanite DoubleMates cardstock (made by WorldWin Papers) through my Paisley Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. This paper is two tone...the border of the card is the lighter color and the darker paisly panel is the coordinating color. To get the soft velvet look and feel I sanded the embossing quite heavily. I think if I had kept going I would have hit the darker color, which was my original plan...but I fell in love with the fuzzy soft look I got with just a slight color change....yummo!

The flower stamps are by Lizzie Anne....this set is on my wish list.....(don't forget Heidi!! ;) I colored the flowers with Copic/Studio2 markers and then highlighted the flowers with the Copic Spica glitter pens. The verse is by Printworks, the ribbon is by May Arts. The white panel is actually a glimmer paper and I hand-doodled the edge. You maybe can't see it in the photo, but I stamped a Printworks swirl in Moonlight White Brilliance for some subtle interest. C'mon back tomorrow to see another Faux Velvet ~ My Way card!!

Just a Note....

This card uses a Making Memories journaling sheet, SU! daisy stamps, Printworks sentiment and swirl stamp. Flowers were here waiting to be used....and I finally did! The are embossed in white on white...centers are stamped in Barely Bananna. Swirls are stamped off once in Creamy Caramel (SU!) ink. The sentiment is stamped in Close to Cocoa (SU!) ink. Base paper is by Bazzil and ribbon is by May Arts.

I've been out of my stamping *groove* this week. I'm in a spring cleaning groove instead...and though it's not nearly as family will appreciate it!!

Just a note on the Card Candy Challenge....I've extended the due date to April 30th. Read about it here. There's some goodies in it for some lucky participant! Can't wait to see what you come up with!!! Also, April's DT gallery is open at pop in there to see some cards with Frogs and Humor as our theme this month!!

Sending Smiles

Here's another one of those *pieces* that has been laying on my desk since November! But since then I was gifted the ribbon (thanks Lori!) and rec'd the Designer Paper from my SCS Secret Sister...and today this card just popped together. The main image is a Whipper Snapper image I got at a convention this fall for $1!! I colored it with Studio2/Copics and then glittered the aqua dots. The flower is a paper one gifted from Lori as well...too fun!! I used SU!'s punch along the top edge. I faux stitched a piece of the Bazzil cardstock to go under the glitzy ricrac ribbon. Sending you smiles is from Printworks.

Embellish-Online Inspiration Challenge 1

This was the inspiration piece Suzy chose for this weeks Inspiration Challenge! Check out all of the details here and feel free to play along if you're inspired! Here is the card I came up with:
The base layer is a yummy dark chocolate piece from Bazzil. I stamped the swirl from Baroque Motifs (SU!) on Whisper White cardstock in Chocolate Chip ink (SU!). The flower and verse are from SU!'s Best Blossoms set. The ribbon was a gift, so I'm not sure of the company. I kept this one simple to match the style of the dishes.

Thanks for stopping by...and remember...if you'd like to play for some forum freebies....give my Card Candy Challenge a try....details here.

Art, Life, Joy!

Oooh....I'm liking this color combo! The definition stamp is by Hero Arts, as is the flower stamp. I stamped the images on watercolor paper and the flowers are done with the watercolor crayons. I color on the stamps with the crayons, spritz with water and stamp. Love the watercolor look! Joy is a SU! stamp which I punched with the smaller oval SU! punch. I punched the larger oval SU! punch and then faux stitched it before popping it up with foam tape. I distressed the faux stitched piece around the main image. The flowers are by prima and I just love the button....I need to find me a new stash of pretty buttons!!! Love 'em!
The cuttlebug folder is Distressed Stripes and it looks really neat on the Bazzil paper.
