Stampavie's Noel Charity

These images from Stampavie are so much fun to create with! This one is Noel Charity and she is colored with Copic Markers and Spica Glitter Pens! The detailing is such on the stamp that I left the card design fairly simple. The scalloped panel is half of an A7 Scallop Note from Archiver's.

The snowflakes are some yummy ribbon that Barb will soon be adding to the store. I cut them apart and used them as fun satin snowflake embellishments! The velvet ribbon is also new and comes in a variety of colors....keep your eye on the store for these goodies!!

The designer paper is from BasicGrey's Eskimo Kisses Collection. It's a fun mix of traditional holiday colors with some fresh twists!

Autumn Wishes

Here is a clean and simple card featuring a pumpkin image from Whipper Snapper Designs. I colored it with Copic Markers and finished the image with a touch of doodling to frame it. Autumn Wishes is by Endless Creations. Brad buddies are by Paper Wishes. I used the Houndstooth Cuttlebug embossing foldr to add a feeling of warmth. I wrapped the ric rac in an *x* around the card, taping the tails on the back. Then I took another piece, tied it in the center and wrapped the tails to the back of the card.

Copics used: B93, B41, B97, E25, E57, E29, Y17, YR16, YR68, YG91, YG95, G99.

Digital Tuesday 29 - Winged Things!

This week's Digital Tuesday Challenge hostess is Lorraine, and her challenge was *things with wings!* We could use a fairy, bird, airplane or anything else that has wings.

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs who are offering the winner 4 of their digital images. We hope you can play along, be sure to read all about it and link your project here.

My project is a gift card holder. It features Fred, She Said's Flutterbys for your Flowers! I layered my card on a scalloped panel from Archiver's. The designer paper is a freebie from Fred, called Pink and Mellow. It is faux stitched to the panel, and I created a faux stitched pocket that has been Cuttlebug Embossed with Swiss Dots and taped with red-lined tape. I colored the butterfly with Copic Markers and Spica Glitter Pens. The butterfly punches are Martha Stewart's and are adorned with nailheads by Mark Richards. The pink scalloped panel is a digital freebie from Fred called Pink and Mellow, which I just love. For Someone Special is by Denami Design.
The insert slides easily behind the butterfly panel and covers the gift card you can also tuck in there.....or money.....or a pick!

Autumn Memories and a bit of Halloween

Today I'm blogging for I made another layout in the same format as the one I did last week. I'm doing a 2-page layout for each of their books, so the first page has photos of the two of them together and the second page(s) will be a collage of their individual shots. I loved how this one turned out using different designer papers and elements. I used Pink Paislee's Amber Road Collection; both papers and the postcards. I used SU!'s photo corner punch embossed with Cuttlebug's Textile Embossing Folder. October comes from Pink Paislee's Twilight Collection Postcards. Making Memories Decorative Brad, SU! Aged Copper Hodgepodge Hardware and some misc. number stickers.

Here are a few more quick Halloween cards using Amerian Craft's Halloween Collection.
This card I matted some of American Craft's Haunted houses on black cardstock that has been distressed. I cut out a tombstone from American Craft's Halloween/Undead and used it as a tag/frame for my Spooky Flair Adhesive Badge. The glitter dots are from Dress It Up.

This last card uses the same American Craft's paper and badges, more of the tombstone tags and Cuttlebug's Branches Embossing Folder.
Be sure to check out Barb's special deals....they aren't a bit spooky! :)

MMSC23 ~ The Rubber Cafe Style

Here is the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 23! This one was fun...can't say as I've ever used this sort of a layout before. I used The Rubber Cafe's Bon Appetit Set for the main image.
I colored the image with Copic Markers and then highlighted the bottle and glass with Spica Glitter Pens, they shimmer nicely in real life. It's gloomy and dark here I took two pictures trying to capture the card detail, and neither does very well!

The shaped panels are cut from sheet music that I distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I matted them on black cardstock and then added glitter dots from Dress It Up for some glitz. The ribbon is by May Arts and the Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder adds some subtle texture. The embossed flower is by Prima and the brad buddy is by Paper Wishes. Other items used on the card are the Nestabilities oval and scalloped oval dies. Thanks for stopping by!

Be sure to check out the fun this weekend!!

Great Impressions & Northwoods

I've been playing with some Northwoods and Great Impressions stamps this week....and here are a few that I came up with!

The Faux Postage Stamp is by Just For Fun. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then masked it with some 3/16 inch masking tape. I stamped the sunflower by Northwoods over it and then colored the image with Copic Markers and Spica Glitter pens. I masked the image and then sponged with with SU!'s Baja Breeze ink.

I stamped the butterfly on a separate piece of cardstock and cut it out. I mounted it flat on the bottom and with pop dots on the top for added dimension. The 1-inch satin ribbon is by May Arts and I seriously used only about 2 inches...tricky, eh?! Photo corner punches are by SU! and I used Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots Embossing Folder for added dimension.
This is another image by Northwoods that I colored with Copic Markers and accented with Spica Glitter pens. I used some 3M adhesive photo corners and matted the image on SU!'s River Rock cardstock. For some gentle distressing I ran my fingernail down the edge of the panel.
The background is a piece of old sheet music that I clear embossed SU!'s Fine Lace on. Then I used Tim Holtz's Distress Ink in Shabby Shutters to add some subtle color. The ribbon was a RAK. I like the artsy botanical feel to this one!

This is a Great Impressions image that I stamped on ivory cardstock and colored with my Copic Markers. I added accents to the apples and barn trim with my Signo White Gel Pen. The cardstocks are Bazzil and Heidi Grace. The flower is the old sheet music again with a SU! 5 petal flower punch and some bronze shimmery cardstock with Martha Stewart's Cornflower punch. The brads are all by Making Memories. Piercing adds a fun touch. I used Cuttlebug's Paisley Embossing Folder and distressed it with a bit of Memento Rich Cocoa Ink to make it very own bandana accent!

This final card features another Great Impressions image. I colored it with copics, masked the image and then added some sponging and distress inks. Flowers are by Prima and Doodlebug, sentiment and Top Note Die are by SU! Designer Papers are by Heidi Grace.

Our sponsor this week is Dustin Pike who is offering up 3 digital be sure to join in the fun for a chance to win some of his cute images!!

For my card, I used images from Fred, She Said Digital Designs. These images crack me up...maybe because we have 2nd grader with no front teeth in our household right now...and we're having so much fun teasing him!

I colored Little Miss Emily with Copic Markers and I glittered her mask with some Art Institute Purple Lame' Opaque Glitter. I kept the card simple in design with the American Crafts Halloween designer papers, using just black cardstock and a white gel pen to make my elements *pop* a bit. ...and what candy can be softer than a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup?! YUM!

Colin's Cozy Card!

Today's card is for a little boy who is only a few weeks old...proud grammy wanted a card to send his way!

The image is by Stampendous and is colored with Copic Markers. The alphabet is by EK Success. I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder to add some texture and then my Scor-Pal to mark the divide between my image and his name. Sizzix flourishes are my *leaves* for the fuzzy flower from Imaginisce. The cute jack-o-lantern from the Trick of Treat set by The Rubber Cafe. Some ric rac finishes off the top of the card. Cardstock is from SU!

It's snowing here today....hope you're keeping warm and cozy!

MMSC22 ~ Chrysanthemuns

Here is my take for this week's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 22. I colored Penny Black's Chrysanthemuns with Copic Markers. I used some metallic DMC Embroidery Floss to frame my image. I'm using some brad buddies for my additional embellishments since I wanted to keep my focus on the main image. Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder, faux stitching and distressing add some interest to the background panels. Cardstock is SU!

Below is another take on the Chrysanthemun that is simple and so striking.

The embossed card I found in my stash and the ribbon was a RAK. The card is matted on brushed bronze cardstock, so elegant!

Embellish-Online Fall Color Challenge

Today's challenge at was Kim's. Since the leaves are a changing, this week's challenge is to get your fall colors out! We are going to create a card, layout, or project using fall colors (think orange, yellow, red, brown)!

I used Pink Paislee's Twilight Collection; Dusk for my layout base. For my journal box, I altered a Pink Paislee Twilight Collection Postcard. I cut out the center of the post card, flipped it over and stamped a Basic Grey Journal Block stamp on it. The page title is made of BasicGrey's BG Alphabet Rub-ons. I printed the lower photos in Sepia to fit the fall mood of the page.

Other items used on this layout: Making Memories Decorative Brads, SU! Hodgepodge Hardware Brads, SU! Sanded Background Stamp, Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink.

Sometimes simple is really fun and eye-catching too! I colored this image from Whipper Snapper with my Copic Markers and Spica Glitter Pens. I used SU! Kraft and Chocolate Chip cardstocks. Sentiment is by Hero Arts and is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa ink.
I trimmed the top of the card to 4 1/8 inches and then ran it through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

"Music to my ears" anything music related.

Our sponsor is The Little Yellow Company, who is offering up to one lucky participant: 1 download set of winners choice! I can't wait to see what you come up with!!

My card features a Faux Foldy Flower from Fred, She Said Designs. These flowers are gorgeously pre-colored....and I simply printed the flowers out on some sheet music! I colored the tips of the flower with my E50 Copic Marker to give it more of an egg shell color. I love cutting the petals in to the center and then folding them along the blade of my craft knife.

Other card details include black and kraft cardstocks from SU!, Allegro Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Paper Wishes Brad Buddy, Misc Ribbon, Sizziz flourishes and sentiment by Verses Rubber Stamps. I highlighted the LOVE with my Copic Markers in R02 and R22 to mimic my flower. Distressing and faux stitching finish the card. Thanks for stopping by!

MMSC21 The Rubber Cafe Style!

I loved this sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #21. This image is from The Rubber Cafe. I colored it with Copic Markers and then coated the grapes, glass and bottle with Glossy Accents.

The designer paper is actually sheet music that I distressed with Tim Holtz's Distress Inks in Peeled Paint and Dusty Concord. After assembling my card and mats I ran the entire panel through Cuttlebug's Allegro Embossing Folder.

Prima flowers, Making Memories Decorative Pin, beads, Paper Wishes Brad Buddy and misc ribbon complete the card. I colored my ribbon with Copics for a perfect match. Thanks for looking!

The Rubber Cafe's Bat Motel in Glitter!

These cards are SO eye-catching in real life....The Rubber Cafe's Bat House is simply stunning done up with the Glitter and Acetate technique. To do this technique I stamped the image on acetate with Stazon, flipped it over and then applied coordinating glitters from Art Institute and Doodlebug on the back side. When dry, I cut the image out and then attached it to my card with glue dots.
Another card with the glittered bathouse paired up with American Crafts Glitter Thickers. Designer papers by American Crafts Halloween Collection.

Friday Challenge 62 ~ One Piece at a Time!

This week's challenge at is paper piecing! I had so much fun, I have two cards to post today!!

I have loved the leaves on this Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Collection since I got it. I decided to cut them out and combine them with some flowers using Cosmo Cricket's Earth Love Collection! The flower image is a digital image from Fred, She Said Digital Designs; Faux Foldy Flower Outline Sheets. The sentiment is by Lizzie Anne!
This card is inspired by the sentiment stamp from Lizzie Ann Designs. I paper pieced my sun using Cosmo Cricket's Earth Love Collection and a Marvy scalloped circle punch.

Daisy Heart Pocket

I've not posted one of these fun gift sets in a while. This heart pocket holds four greeting cards and is fun to give as a gift.

This particular set uses a variety of designer papers I found in my scrap drawers and some stickers from Renae Lindgren/Creative Imaginations.
