Whatcha Got Cookin?!

It's Michelle here with my Freebie post....and with summer winding down and the holiday weekend coming up I have food on my mind! Today I will share a few recipes that I found on Pinterest that we tried and liked. Maybe you will find a new favorite too! First up is meat...this Steak Marinade was a hit at our house this summer...think we used it on a sirloin steak!

Up next is Campfire Potatoes....a perfect go-together as my crew would say! This is a little different twist on how we usually make our grilled potatoes. Our usual version is potatoes, salt, pepper, onions and butter. I love Penzy's lately I've been tossing in different spice combos for a bit of variety!

I didn't mean this to turn into a meal plan...but the next recipe that was a hit in our house was this yummy Cucumber Salad! We were the lucky recipient of a TON of cucumbers this summer and my family gobbled many of them up in this fashion!

And here is a bit o summer in the form of a Blueberry Cream Pie! We get about 30# of blueberries each summer....and this was the first thing we tried this summer! Well...have you run across a favorite summery recipe on Pinterest this summer?! If so share it here...I maybe can sneak it in our holiday weekend line-up!

Good Thoughts Bear Good Fruit

Today's card is for Inky Antics....and if you check out the Inky Antics blog today, you will see this set used in several different ways!

I used the 11071SC Holy Spirit's Fruit set almost in it's entirety!  The pear is stamped on white cardstock that I applied Peeled Paint Distress Ink to in a direct to paper fashion.  Then to add some bling I applied some gold glitter glue over the top with my finger.  Once dry, I stamped my image with black Stazon ink before fussy cutting it and popping it up on foam tape.

Papers are from a Fiskars Kimberly Poloson Mat Stack.  I love the fall color scheme and variety of patterns that complement my images!  My only embellishments are a few Candi Dots from the Covent Garden collection and a touch of paper embroidery on my sentiment banner!

Good thoughts to you all!

HoneyPOP Bloomin' Bouquets

Happy Weekend!  I promised a bit ago some bouquets using my Inky Antics 11102SC Fabulous Flowers set, 11103SSC Inky Antics Beautiful Borders set and 11104MC Simple Sentiment sets.    I just love this bouquet that I did up for CHA show last winter.  You can find these images on the Inky Antics site...or your Archiver's!

This bouquet showcases six of the flowers, one of the borders and one of the sentiments!

You get to look at it again on a black background because I couldn't decide which I liked better!!

And here is another card featuring the smallest flower in the set stuck into the vase of another Inky image!  The sentiment is also from Simple Sentiments.

Thanks for popping by!  Lots of fun stuff coming in the next little bit....I just can't share it yet!

Washi Tape Gift Card Gift Box

Hello there! Michelle here today for MarkerPOP with a 3D project for you! Who doesn't need to have little gifty boxes handy?! This little box has been in my stash for quite some time...and I usually embellish them up with paper...but this time I decided to go with a favorite embellishment of mine...Washi Tape! mp
I had to go digging...and decided it was going to be a winter gift box. I based my color scheme on the tapes I chose to embellish the box with.
I used this sweet image called Tiny Baker Tia by Some Odd Girl. I colored her up with Copic Markers and then fussy cut her and popped her up on foam tape over the washi tape covered box I decorated. I added a strip of sticky tape and red glitter for a bit of pow! mp
Next I decorated up the inside of the box a bit! mp
I created a fun little card to top my pile of gift cards and then created a few embellishments using My Mind's Eye brad kits and various snowflake punches.
What have YOU Washi'd this week?!

What's Up Chick?!

It's been a while since I posted a card for From The Heart Stamps.  This cute little bugger is called What's Up Chick and is a hoot to color up!  I have several different color schemes, and I'm just not sure who is the cutest!

I kept this one clean and simple and fussy cut it after coloring it with Copic markers.  Washi tape and Candi Dots are my only embellishment other than the birthday Cuttlebug embossing.

Beautiful Borders Sampler Card Trio....

This is a card featuring my Inky Antics Beautiful Borders Set as well as a sentiment from Simple Sentiments.

This card was based off of one that Archiver's did featuring my set; below.

Its is a very versatile set to add a border here or there on a card for a fun flat embellishment...or use them all together for a fun variety card!  This one screams girl or spring...but done up in fall colors it feels more masculine or fallish!

Hello Baby Boy!

I am on a cleaning binge...there is a stack of cards here on my desk that have not made it to the blog I'm working on getting them photo'd, edited and posted!

This card features a scrap of paper that I had in my paper bin.  These darling monkeys were just begging to be seen.  I kept the card very simple with navy cardstock, a SU! scalloped edge punch and verse and a touch of faux stitching and distressing.  The white crocheted flower was pure perfection with a vintage button to top off the center of the flower!

Garden Party!

There are two posts for Inky Antics sure to scroll to see them both!

Today's card features Inky Antics images and this one comes in clear 11177MC Garden Party or wood 0560K Garden Party.

I colored the image up with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol and paired it up with paper from Darcies and some glitter tape from American Crafts.  I painted a prima with some perfect pearls and Distress Reinker and added a candy dot and birthday sentiment to finish my card.

The Bee's Knees!

Jackie at Inky Antics asked a few of us to make some cards using this cute little boy bee image from the  10987MC Bumbly Bees Clear Set.  Be sure to check out the Inky Antics Blog to see what the other gals did with it!

I colored mine up with Copic Markers:  110, W7, W5, W3, E49, E47, E44, YR04, Y38, Y35, YG17, YG25,YG23, BG000, B45, B41.

Dies are from Cheery Lyn:  Victorian Picket Fence and a scrap piece I turned into a frame that came from around the Rum Punch with Double Angel Wing die!

Wondeful Ways With Washi!

Washi Tape is always on my mind! Today's card for MarkerPop has no stamping, but some fun Cheery Lynn dies... and my favorite roll of Washi Tape! Tape: Japanese Washi Masking Tape, Flower Red Dies: Cheery Lynn Mega Fanciful Flourish
Here is a close-up of the luscious tape and, love, love it all!   And here are two alternate uses of tape!
My kids have given this cheapo computer desk a run for it's money...and the front trim piece was all beat up. What better way to cover it up than a bit of fun washi tape?! I used a wide tape that is not in stock at the moment...but there are others that are equally fun. It is neat and coordinates with the black much nicer! This desk now holds my printer/scrapbooks in progress since we ditched the desktop!
And I also had picked up this filing cabinet to house my cardstocks...and the top was all nicked and banged up...the lock had been removed and there was an ugly hole...what better way to disguise it all than to wrap some washi tape around the top?! So....lets see how you Washi! I'd love to take a peek!

Endless Creations Inspiration....

Happy Sunday to you!  I have had a hectic summer...and I totally enjoyed a bit of down time this weekend in my stamping studio!  Today I'm playing with images from Endless Creations/Everyday Cards.   I used paper piecing and scraps from some Girls' Paperie papers to decorate my cappy cups.
I embossed the heart with white embossing powder.
My next card has a decidedly spring feel with the color scheme, but happy bright cards are always in style for birthdays I think!  I made my own rainbow ink pad with a wet wipe and reinkers for these watercolored effect hearts.  Then I ran the panel through the Script embossing folder.    I stamped, colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut the branch and birds.  Love the adorable little sentiment on this one!
Finally I made an elegant anniversary using some gold embossing ink/powder on the 50th image.  I colored the numbers in a bit with a gold Spica Glitter Pen and framed the white panel with a Krylon Gold Pen.  The paper on this one has gold foil and the Candi Dots are a Gold Mirror....none of which photograph the best, but it's pretty in real life!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Glimmer Card Set

Hello there! I have a card set for you today...perfect for the little ladies in your life! My daughter caught a peek at the cards on my desk and promptly asked for a sheet of her own to color up...they are getting all glitzed up again by a six year old! The image is Elisabeth Bell's Sweet Pea Stamps' Glimmer.

I added a bit of paper embroidery to this it a moon or a sun....but it's done up with silver metallic floss.

It such fun to color up the same image multiple times, matching the images up with different each little lady their own *habitat!*
This little one makes me grin....I added a few Sweetest Thing Enamel Dots for accents on my card. The birthday sentiment is from Wild Rose Studio's Bunny With Cake.
I love coloring her little red head!
So, have you sat down and colored your images multiple times?! If so, link up in comments....and I'd love to come take a peek!

Springer Spaniel and DESIGN TEAM CALL!

It's another day on my paper sahfari....though I'm not sure you'll find this fella in Africa!  I'm wandering my way through the animal images available at Prickley Pear...and this fella popped up!

HH0101 Springer is the image, and I colored it with Copic Markers:  W7, W5, W3, W1, E59, E57, E55, E23, E42.

I used D018 Oak and Maple Leaf Die as well as the leaf from the D008 Pumpkin Die to embellish my image.  The leaf spray is a Cheery Lynn die.
