Flourished Dancers

Happy Monday!  It's the beginning of a new week and I love that!  Last week had a few bumps in it I'd rather forget!  I also got news I got published in Just Cards! though, and that was a ray of sunshine!!
Paper is by SEI.  I cut the dies out of some shimmery white paper and colored the poppies with Copic Markers.

Don't forget to visit my Birthday Blog Candy post (linked on sidebar) for your chance to win some crafty goodness in honor of my birthday!   Good Luck!

Happy Birthday To Me Blog Candy!

Today is my birthday!  I have a vintage feel birthday card to share today.  The main image is from McMahon Five Designs and is called Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful.  I printed the image off on some patterned paper from a JoAnn Fabrics pad and then enhanced the image with Copic Markers.
The sentiment is by Purple Onion Designs.    The lace is vintage...I collect lace I find at yard sales and anywhere else...fun to use on cards!  The background is a page from a book that is falling apart...destined for the trash until I grabbed it!

And what is a birthday without something sweet?  I am offering up this Blog Candy:

1 Couture Creations Embossing Folder
1 set Heidi Grace Boxed Cards; Flocked
1 High Hopes Book Worm stamp
1 Stampers Anonymous wood mount stamp
2 HoneyPOP flowers
5 lengths of seam binding ribbon
5 Copic markers

Just what do you have to do?

1.  Post my blog candy picture on your blog linking back to my blog.
2.  Leave me a birthday comment telling me you did so.
3. Become a follower on my blog or leave me a comment if you already are for an extra chance to win.

I will select a winner on July 6th.  Good Luck!

This n That...

I am busy making things I can't share on the blog just yet...but I have lots of cards that have never popped up here yet, so today I will share 3!  This card features my favorite rose from Designed2Delight.  I used some paper from a MME collection and a bit of paper embroidery to dress up this card.
Here are some more Designed2Delight images colored up with Copic Markers and paired with papers from Simple Stories.
And one final card using Designed2Delight images.  This one I sprayed Heidi Swapp Color Shine over a Cheery Lynn Die to create this fun background.  That is another Cheery Lynn die along the bottom of the card that grounds my bird.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you are having a fabulous week!

Paper Embroidery Heart

For today's card I raided my stash of stamped images.  I stamped several of these embroidery images many moons ago and decided it was time a few made it onto cards.  If anyone knows the company, pop me a message and I can source the stamp.  I have more stitched shapes coming soon, but this is today's offering.

I ran the stamped image through a Cuttlebug heart embossing folder.  I stitched the heart with black and two shades of pinky reds.  The flower is from Our Craft Lounge and was stamped on designer paper and then embellished with a white gel pen and shaped.

I'm Back!!!

Wowzie!  I thought I was so smart and had every day of our vacation scheduled ahead...and you were not even supposed to know that I was gone!  That all worked out as planned...but my computer decided not to come back from vacation...and that it did not want to go online at all!  Off to the computer doctor it went!  Thankfully I got it back yesterday and am now in the process of getting all of my ducks back in a row!  Funny how tied we get to these silly machines!

I have a few cards for you today that I made up before I left.  This first one features a fun little frame which I think is from Whipper snapper...and a little cupcake which I have no idea on the maker.  I colored them with Copic markers and then fussy cut them and popped them up on foam tape.
This is a fun summer card I made with images that I have had in my stash for many a year. I had stamped the slide mount up back when they were cool.  I popped the frame and the little beach elements all up on foam tape.
And finally this one was done with a variety of goodies off of my desk.  The frame is by Inkadinkadoo, the flower by Our Craft Lounge, the Flourish Die is from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and the saying is from a Studio 490 set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Inky Antics Ocean Escapades!

Happy Tuesday!  I am sharing the Inky Antics post Jackie wrote up featuring my cards: Enjoy!
****************************************************************************
These stamps are from our brand new Ocean Escapades collection, and they're featured on the June Inky Board Program:

Did you "sea" this week's card on the main Inky website:

That charming little mermaid is part of 11247MC Seahorse & Clam Mermaids Clear Set (drawn by artist Tammy DeYoung):

Michelle Pearson created the above card, along with this fun variation:

Michelle's version incorporates a framed layout with faux stitched edging:

You may notice this saying isn't from the same stamp set. Instead, it's included in 11251MC Ocean Pals Clear Set (also drawn by Tammy DeYoung).

Always and Forever....

Happy Monday!  Today I have a fun card for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps using GG0189 Cameo, CLR047 Mini Vases, CLR012A Flowers 2 Clear Set and D012 Flowers Die.

I used some heart dies to frame my main image.  I cut elements from designer paper for the smaller hearts.    Flowers are from the Flowers 2 stamp set and have been stamped on designer paper and then accented with a white gel pen.

I have a little hit for you today.  The sentiment in the set reads I Love You Always and Forever.
I know I will likely use them separately far more often than together, so I cut them apart and it makes for much easier selective inking....and it stretches your stamp set!

Be sure to pop on by the Prickley Pear blog if you have a moment and see what the other talented designers are sharing!

I created a dimensional background using the white HoneyPOP papers.

Birthday Cards!

One card for you today...but colored up three different ways!
The embossing folder is an oldie by goodie from Cuttlebug.
Image is Gift Trio by Designed2Delight.  I don't think Faith has added it to From The Heart Stamps yet.  All images colored with Copic Markers and then accented with a white gel pen.

Summertime Duo!

I have two cards today featuring the same My Besties image.  I had a hoot coloring these little ladies up, all with different colored hair and outfits!

Flower images on here are from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps CLR012A Flowers 2 Clear Set which coordinates with the D012 Flowers Die.  The chicken wire die is from Cheery Lynn.

This little lady I just paired up with a pile of MME papers and faux stitching.

A Few More Masculine Cards

I get a lot of feedback that men cards are hard to come up with...so here are a few more ideas for you!  This card features some scraps that I had practiced brayering on years ago.  I believe it is from the Kaleidacolor Autumn Leaves rainbow pad.  I don't brayer much...and these were in no way perfect, but they were colorful, and if you know me, I save almost everything that crosses my desk.  I don't pitch much, and often, days, weeks or even years down the road, as in this case, I find a perfect use for the pieces!    The trees are from a Tim Holtz Stamper's Anonymous set and how easy peasy to simply stamp them twice on this brayered scrap with Versafine Ink!

You're in my Thoughts is from Inky Antics.
Here is another version using another oldie but goodie stamp from Stamps In Motion.  You can see on this card I left a bit of the white edges just for a bit of contrast.

And this card goes somewhere else, but it could be used for a masculine card.  It is comprised of a bunch of inchies that have been cut in half and paper quilted onto a blue piece of designer paper.  I added some red heart punches for a bit of fun.

Thanks for stopping by!

Men and More....

I have a few more cards that could be used for the men in your life.  This first one is a graduation card that features a Stampers Anonymous stamp and Tim Holtz Washi Tape.  The background is a stamp by a company I can't remember right now.  One big drawback to unmounted stamps in my book!

I inked the music score up with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and then sprayed and stamped it on my cardstock.  Then I took the Gathered Twigs Distress Stain and Picket Fence Distress Stain and covered my cardstock in a diagonal motion.  I love this effect!

Congratulations is from Purple Onion Designs I think...again, another unmounted stamp and I'm not positive.
This card was a request for a birthday recently...you may have seen my earlier post featuring these images from Our Craft Lounge.

And finally, this card was also a special request.  The images are by Inky Antics.  The canister set has been paper pieced....and I just love that mixer...wouldn't that be a pop of color in your kitchen?!

Everything is Coming Up Roses!

Today's card feature the rose from Designed2Delight that I just love.  Today I paired it up with some pages from a book and some vintage hand crocheted lace!
This card features the same rose with the scalloped oval frame from the Three Cakes set at McMahon Five Designs.   Happy Anniversary is from Annette Watkins...another stamp I've had around here for next to forever...but loved it with this designer paper from Hot Off The Press.

Bicycle Built For Two!

Happy Monday!   Today's card features the HH0154 Bicycle Built for Two image from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  I stamped the image on white cardstock and then masked the edge with Washi Tape and added Tim Holtz Distress Inks to the panel.

For a fun embellishment on the wheels I added flowers from the CLR012A Flowers 2 Clear Set which coordinates with the  D012 Flowers Die.

Papers are from My Mind's Eye.  Candi Dots and faux stitching finish my card.
Be sure to pop by the Prickley Pear blog today to see what all of the other designers are sharing!

For the Fellas....

Father's Day is coming right up...and I have a few fun cards to share with you!

This first one features some stamps from Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz.  I stamped them on some denim deisgner paper and colored the flag with Copic Markers.  This card could be switched up for a birthday or for the troops or July 4th as well.

And this card features the GG0105 Ford Ranchero from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.
The Father's Day sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly I329.
I have a few candy dots and a bit of a Cheery Lynn die as my only embellishments other than the faux stitching.

More Heart Songs!

And here is another card using that Love Song image from Designed2Delight.  On this card I paired it up with two images from McMahon Five Designs.

The scalloped frame is from the Three Cakes set by Studio313.
The sentiment is a freebie that comes with the BirdSong set by Studio313.
The images on this card are from Inky Antics.  These are colored with Prismacolor Pencil and Gamsol.

Music To My Heart!

This image is so sweet...it is an image from Designed2Delight called Love Song.  I don't think Faith has rolled it over into her From The Heart Stamps store...but it is one of my favorites and you will be seeing it around here cause I love it!  I colored the image with copic markers and fussy cut it.   A bit of hand embroidery and some seam binding and you have a cheery little card for any occasion!
This is a beautiful image from Art Gone Wild's Michelle Masters is D5-2677 Treble Cleft.  I colored it up with Copic Markers and paired it with the Cuttlebug Music embossing folder.

I have a few more along this line to share with you tomorrow!

Stampin' Up Card Trio

On my quest to clean up my photo files I found a few Stampin Up! cards that I don't think I have shared here.

This first one features stamps from 3 sets, and because I am not overly familiar with the names of the sets anymore I won't list the names.

I used the Chalk Pop technique on this card.  I inked up the background with Versamark ink and then stamped it on white cardstock.  You add the colors by adding different colors of chalk as desired.  I did rows here.  I did the same technique on the flower block.   My embellishments are Candi Dots, and how cool that they match my chalk so well!
I used the same Chalk Pop technique on this card.  Papers are from My Minds' Eye collections I believe.  The Happy Birthday is one of my first stamps from way back when; Annette Allen Watkins D1280.  I added Jute and Candi dots on this card.
This is a fun Tri-Fold Card that features flowers from a SU! set and verses from Inky Antics.  This card uses another fun tool from way back in the day...wavy scissors...and they are not even Fiskars...I think they are some I bought for the kids and took back when they didn't care anymore!
There is a touch of faux stitching and distressing on here as well.

Thanks for taking a walk down memory lane with me...I have bazillions of SU! sets....and I know some have never seen ink...I think I need to remedy that..........someday!!

Wow!

Well sometimes I clean out my photo files...and I find stuff that I forgot to post!  This would be the case with this project for CropStop!

First off, I created the background paper for this card using Peeled Paint Distress Ink.  I applied it in a direct to paper method, not really trying to keep the colors even, I liked the mottled effect.

I wanted my paper to have a bit of pizzazz, so I applied Glitzin' Glamor in Gold to the paper and then smeared it around so the paper had a nice glittery effect.

The glitter is suspended in a clear medium, and this is what it looks like when you spread it out.  This is the piece that I did for my card base.  I cut the pear out of the piece in the prior picture.  I could have cut the pear out of the center of the one above and used that...but I didn't...so no sense in glittering up a whole nother sheet, right?!

Here is a list of the rest of the supplies:
