All You Need Is Ice Cream!

I am loving today's card using The Rubber Cafe's Too Much Sun Creative Cafe Kit.  The images are from the Fun in the Sun set included in the kit.  I added a bit of You're So Fine Glitter in Blue Skies to my supplies for this card.

Fun tip:  The glitter strip is a cut-off piece from the panel I created on my last card.  I don't throw away my glittery bits and pieces....they always add a pop of fun to a future creation!
You can see for the vellum panel that I folded the vellum around the back of a piece of 4 3/4 x 2 inch white cardstock.  I few well placed mini-glue dots behind the flowers holds my vellum down along the vertical edges.

I colored my images with Copic Markers and I just felt like if a little ice cream is good a whole bunch would be much better!
I tucked the sentiment under the vellum panel and anchored it with a sticker from the kit.

You and Paper Piecing Make me Happy!

How about some more of the fabulous Pinwheels for today's card?  I decided the pinwheels from the Too Much Sun Creative Cafe Kit from The Rubber Cafe would be perfect to create a fun banner!
To start off my card I did a bit of paper embroidery around the edge of a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of designer paper.  I used 3 strand of embroidery floss from my personal stash.

I stamped the pinwheels on the more solid designs of each color with black in.  Then I chose two slightly more busy patterns.   After cutting the pinwheels out, I placed my pinwheels on the card where I wanted them and then pierced a hole through the center of each pinwheel.  This allowed me to add the string for my pinwheels and have the placement right.
Here you can see I popped up the pinwheels on foam tape.  For the corner pinwheels I dressed them up a bit by stacking another pinwheel on top for a deluxe version!

As a finishing touch I added a Jellie Dot to the center of each pinwheel.  This adds a bit of sparkle as well as covers up the holes I made when placing the pinwheels.

Fabulous Day!

The other day, while waiting during the kids' piano lessons, I decided to color up a garden of these flowers from Darcies JCS150 set with Copic markers.  Once I had a page of them colored, I doodled them all!  I added all of the black patterning on the flowers with a Micron 01 pen.

The dragonfly is a die that I tangled and colored up earlier...sometimes I go on a tangent tangle up a pile of images.  Other times I go on a tangent and cut out those various images and then I have a drawer full of goodness that I can pull and pop on a card at a future date!

The sentiment is from a Prickley Pear stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope your Sunday was fabulous too!

Happiness Tasted...

I totally enjoyed the workshop at The Stamp Shoppe on Thursday!  The ladies did a super job on the cards they tangled!    I was inspired to try tangling everything in sight!  This fabulous cup is from Endless Creations and provided the perfect image for some tangling.  I already have other color themes and patterns bouncing around in my head, so there will be more coffee cards coming soon!
This image is also from Endless Creations...and since my boy is always wanting a new funky tie....I was inspired to make up a bright eye-popping design.  It is amazing that by coloring, tangling or even paper piecing, this image can look  completely different!

You Make Me Happy!

Hello there!  Michelle here and today I have a fun glitter technique to share that works wonderfully with You're So Fine Glitters and Adhesive Sheets.

Loving the July Too Much Sun Creative Cafe Kit and the Perfect Sentiment Add-On Stamp Set.
I added step-by-step directions on the photos below to show my process of creating this card.

The card is based on a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch of orange glimmer cardstock.  I cut down the glittered panel to 4 x 3 1/4 inches and adhered it to the prepared card.  I stamped the sentiment with Stazon ink.
The whirligigs are stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I cut the images out, leaving a narrow white border to frame them and make them pop.  The whirligigs are popped up with Foam Tape for dimension.  The finishing touch was the adorable sun sticker included in the kit!

Happy, Happy, Happy!

I have two more duck cards for you today as I inked up the last of the 3 sets from Darcies.  These cards feature images from the JCS242 set.  I used some glitter ribbon on this first card for a festive touch.
For my second card I used some twine which I tied in a fun double bow that sort of reminds me of a flower or butterfly.

Birthday Bubbles and Wishes

I found this funny gal in my Studio 313 stash...and she always makes me grin.  I used some Stardust pen to add fun to the bubbles!
Love this bird from From The Heart Designs.  I embellished the card with some images from Darcies, a bit of vintage elastic and some fun paper.

Have a Bloomin' Good Day!

Oh, I had such fun with these Darcie's Ducks yesterday, I went on and played with another set today.  This was set JCS241.  I used a bit of glitter ribbon on this card.  The sentiment was made with bits and pieces from my bin....a vellum circle, a scalloped die cut and dressed up with some Stardust detailing.
This card uses some fun designer paper and some glitter tape from American Crafts.  All images colored with Copic Markers and hand cut.

Darcie's Ducks Card Duo

I have some cute cards today featuring Darcie's Heart and Home stamps.  This set of cards uses set JCS240.  These images are so fun to color!  I based the flowers on some Stampin Up! flower punches.
On this card you can't see it on the photo, but I outlined the embossing on the card with a Stardust pen for a sweet and fun effect.

Happy Summer!

Today I have a fun and fresh card for The Rubber Cafe featuring the July Too Much Sun Creative Kit!

I love the glimmery yellow cardstock that just screams happy!  I cut out some of the designer paper from the Doodlebug Sunkissed Paper that is included with the kit to form a citrus border!    I tied a piece of the yellow ribbon around the border so the fruit just peeks out a bit.

I stamped and colored two of the lemon images to form a bottom design element on my card.  I used Copic Markers Y18 and Y15 to color my lemons.

The little lemonade stand is the cutest.  I colored it up with Copic Markers:  E37, E35, B02, B01, YG05.  The lemonade stand is popped up on foam tape.  The sentiment is stamped on the green designer paper and then layered on a piece of distressed white cardstock.

Just love the happy fresh feel of this card....sure to be a smile in an envelope!!

Incredible Birthday Smiles!

Whoot!  I have a fun card to share today featuring images from Endless Creations!  I am on another one of my binges when I am tangling everything in sight.  This stamp (F237 KB's Present Lg) has been at my fingertips for months....but it hopped onto my desk tonight and got tangled up all pretty-like!  When I was done I colored my image with Copic Markers and added a few sequins for fun.

The Cuttlebug folder is one that I have had forever called Tiffany...and I honestly don't know if I have ever used it...but I'm loving the way the sentiment (E266 Wishing You...Incredible Birthday) fits right in there like it was meant to be!!

New Friends....

Today's cards are cards I made for Inky Antics featuring their Worldly Women stamps.  Papers are from Darcies and Bazzill.  The images are colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  The stickers are from Stampendous!

This card uses various flower dies from my bin.  I used the Zig Dotta*Riffic pen to make the fun dotted border.  I picked these pens up on clearance years ago and they are still rich and juicy and add a fun touch to any card.

I added Sakura Stardust detailing to each of these cards as these ladies are a bit over-the-top.  The colored twine on this card is a fun finishing touch.

Friday is for Fellas

I have the fella cards for you today....the background on this one is from Impression-Obsession done with distress inks.  The fishing strip is using Inky Antics stamps and the fishing image is from Draw Me A Daydream.  I have a bit of You're So Fine Glitter along the left side that gives the feeling of water.
This card uses an image from PSX and is a perfect card for the golfing fellas.  The paper on this one is flocked a bit for some fun interest.

Frilly Card Trio

Well, I guess I didn't get around to posting yesterday....and I'm in the mood for frills today, so maybe tomorrow I will share some fella cards.    This first card uses an adorable image from Sherri Baldy's My Besties collection.  I found some fun paper and a die cut in my this and that bin and combined them into this fun color-block style card.  The large sentiment is from Hero Arts and the birthday sentiment is from From The Heart Stamps.  Just love her little mix-matched outfit!
This card features a flower from a Stampin' Up! stamp set and some fun papers from Stampin' Up! as well.  Love the bakers twine over the crimped cardstock on the card.
This last card features an image by Faith from From the Heart Stamps for Whipper Snapper.  I love coloring vases like this!  Vintage lace and a bit of ribbon finish off the card.
