Be Free!

I had so much fun playing with the The Rubber Cafe Creative Cafe Kit  called Follow Your Dreams!
I used the Birds of a Feather set again...this time I created my own background paper by randomly stamping the solid feathers stamped in Versafine Black Ink onto the pink designer paper found in the BoBunny paper pad included in the kit.
Once I was done stamping the feathers, I ran the paper through my Xyron machine and applied You're So Fine Diamond Clear Cool Highlight Glitter.  After a quick burnishing with my fingers, this card SHINES!

The card base is black cardstock from my stash measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.  The pink designer paper measures 4 x 5 1/4 inches.   After attaching these two layers, I tied a bow with the pink ribbon in the kit before attaching the card base to an A2 folded white card.

The white layer measures 2 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches.  The black mat measures 2 1/8 x 4 5/8 inches.  The designer paper layer measures 4 3/8 x 2 inches.  I stamped this panel as shown and then ran it through the Xyron machine and applied glitter.  The white panel is popped up on foam tape over the ribbon.

Hello Gorgeous!

I had much fun playing with the The Rubber Cafe Creative Cafe Kit  called Follow Your Dreams!
I used the Birds of a Feather set again...this time turning the feathers into leaves by stamping them on the green cardstock included in the kit with Stazon black ink!  Cut off the "stem" of the feather and you have yourself a dandy leaf!
The roses I stamped onto the pink designer paper included in the Bo Bunny paper pad that is in the kit.  I fussy cut the roses and then applied Scrap Happy Sheer Glue to the roses and then You're So Fine Diamond Clear Cool Highlight Glitter to them.  As you can see here, I applied foam tape to every other rose to give my wreath dimension.
I left the design of this card simple so that the wreath could pop.  I layered some of the Bo Bunny Gold Foil Chevron Washi tape to a 4 1/4 x 3/4 inch strip of the kraft cardstock for a faux ribbon element.  The sentiment is stamped on a 1 5/8 x 1 1/8 piece of white cardstock.  The shadow stamp is stamped off once so the color is a bit lighter.

The base layer is a kraft 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches , the green designer paper is 4 x 5 1/4 inches.  I arranged the wreath and sentiments as shown.  The completed card panel is attached to a folded white A2 card.

No Doubt About It....

I have another Scratch Off Surprise card from Inky Antics today.  Papers by Darcies, coloring is Prismacolor Pencil and Gamsol.  This one I used a Zig Dotta Riffic pen on to make the dot frame around the bunny.  I know I bought these years ago....but I still love the fun look they give in applications like this!
This card shows the answer with no sticker on it yet.  No dot frame either....and I must say I like the frame muchly!!

Scratch Off Surprises from Inky Antics

Today's card features one of the Scratch Off Surprises sets from Inky Antics.   Papers are by Darcies, image is colored with Prismacolor Pencil/Gamsol.  The answer to the riddle is covered with a scratch off sticker that is available for purchase from Inky Antics.
This is actually another card that I did without the scratch off sticker attached.  You can use the set without the stickers if you wish.

Penny Spinner Card and Some Flowers!

Happy Weekend!  Today's cards are just cheery springy sorts of cards!

This first card is for Inky Antics using their new Bump It Up! collection.  The cat and the girl are embossed with the stencil that can be purchased separately.  The papers are from Darcies.

The penny slider is a perfect card for this little lady as it allows her to twirl across the front of the card.
This card features a frame from Stampendous!  What fun to color and cut out and pop up on foam tape.  The Thinking of You image is by Paper Inspirations.

Follow Your Dreams

This month's The Rubber Cafe Creative Cafe Kit is called Follow Your Dreams!  I just love the Birds of A Feather set with it's Zentangle-inspired feathers!

I opened the kit and just had to check out the paper pack: Bo Bunny Calendar Girl Collection.  My eyes locked on this sheet and the card fell together in minutes.  I used some of the rubons from the Mama-Razzi2 set included in this kit as well as the Bo Bunny Gold Foil Chevron Washi Tape.

This is a simple 2 layer card.  The card base measured 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches.  The designer paper is cut to 5 1/4 x 4 inches.  I added the rub-ons as shown and then stamped the feathers and sentiment  with Versafine black ink.  I attached my completed cardfront to an A2 folded white card.

Ooh La La!

Here is one of the fun cards I made for CHA using Nicole Tamarin's new sets with Art Gone Wild!  I love me some flowers...and some fussy cutting!!  I did a bit of distressing, a bit of paper embroidery and lots of Copic coloring!  The background is stamped tone on tone to create a nice background.

You can see all of the various Nicole Tamarin stamps I used to create this card here.

Hang in There!

I have a few more Inky Antics cards to share today.  This first one is from the scratch off line, and you could cover up the balloon and make the Hang in There a secret message...but I chose just to pop up the balloon with the message with foam tape for a bit of fun dimension.   Always nice when you can use a stamp set in more than one way.

The background paper is from Darcies.

This card features the new Inky Antics Bump It Up! stamp sets.  The little man and his pup are embossed after they are colored for a fun dimensional effect.  You can purchase a coordinating stencil to do the embossing.

The boy and pup image are on an Action Wobbles for some fun space action!   Again, the papers are from Darcies.

Spring Is Here!

Happy Thursday!  Today's card for the Rubber Cafe features the Egg-stra Special stamp set!  Spring is not almost here...we just got piles of freshly fallen snow and the world is a wonderland with it piled on the tree branches!  It is still fun to think of spring....so I pulled out this fun set and put birds and flowers and bees onto my card!

I used some embellishments that came with the Creative Cafe Kit originally and added a coordinating pearl to the center of my felt flower.  I love how the paper looked when I cut it to create a fun detailed edge.  Also note how my plaids lined up on the Welcome Spring sentiment...somethings you just can't plan.
I stamp the best when things just happen...this card was made using scraps from other cards I had made with this kit.  The rainbow striped paper measures 4 x 5/8 inches.  The flowers are fussy cut from another scrap of the designer paper from the Echo Park Sunny Days Ahead paper pad.  I attached them to my card with glue dots.

The blue cardstock that I stamped on and colored with Copic markers measures 4 x 2 1/2 inches.
The green paper measured 4 x 2 inches before I cut the bottom detailing.  I attache the green paper and the top strip with foam tape for added dimensional interest.  The blue panel is attached flat.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Egg-Stra Special
Paper: Bazzil Cardstock, White Cardstock, Echo Park; Sunny Days Ahead
Ink:  Memento Black Tuxedo Ink Copic Markers
Adhesives: Foam Tape, Glue Dots
Embellishments:  Ribbon, Felt Flower
Other: Pearl

This n That....

I have been having lots of fun playing with some new to me stamps...this one is an Embossing Arts image.  I just love the curtains blowing in the breeze!  I colored the image with Copic Markers and then fussy cut it and popped it up on foam tape for dimension.  The Feel Better Soon was in my snippets bin...I have no idea if I upcycled it from a commercial greeting card or where it came from, but it was the perfect fit!
This second card features an old Stampin Up! background stamped in black on white cardstock.  The sentiment is one from Steve Fadie's collection with Art Gone Wild ...and just how true is that?  Love the little blue bow for a finishing touch!

...Another Unintentional Blog Break...

Hi there!  I am back once again....I do have lots to share....I just need to find time to sit and type a bit!

This week has been busy, but I thought I would share a few cards today...and here it to more consistent posting.

The shoreline stamp is by Northwoods and I stamped it on some polished stone paper with black Staozon ink.    The sentiment is one that was in my stamped up stash.   The little fisher is also by Stampendous.

This is a Stampin Up image that I colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut and mounted with foam tape.

...just another version, perhaps dusk on the lake?

and finally this Stitched Heart by Stampendous was colored by Copic markers and popped up on foam tape.
