Double Z Fold Birthday Card!

Today's card is another one that I made for the SplitcoastStampers Dare to Get Dirty Challenge.  I can't tell you what the challenge is...but I can tell you that I used the tutorial for the Double Z Fold Card.

The stamps that I used are Prickley Pear's, the Build A Cupcake stamp set and Cupcake Die.
I paper pieced the cupcake bottom and colored the image with Copic Markers.

The white floral panel is punched with a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page.

Have you made one of these?  They are fun to make and they do fit into an A2 envelope.

Today I am sharing a card that features several companies that I just love!

The Holly is the December Flower of the Month from Lila Grey/Bloom Art.  I colored the images with Copic Markers and fussy cut them leaving a narrow white border.  I accented the berries with a white gel pen.

Papers are from pretty with the silver card stock I chose.

The sentiment is from Inky Antics.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Graduation!

I have a graduation card today!  I was out rummaging and found this graduation stamp that had never even been mounted.  I liked the stamp...and was inspired to pair it up with a Lasting Impressions graduation hat stencil that I traced and then tangled!

The background of this card did not photograph well, but it is the Salted Watercolor technique on glossy paper.  There are Turquoise designs left by the salt and water that coordinate with the cardstock.  The silver is very reflective cardstock.   Along the top of the panel there is a strip of silver metallic washi tape that has white stars on it.  It coordinates perfectly and looks much better in person.

It's never too early to get a few graduation cards in your stash!

You Make Me Happy ....

Love this Build and Umbrella set and Umbrella Die from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps!

I glittered my umbrella, because who doesn't need a little extra bling on a gray day?  I made my own clouds from gray and blue cardstock and distressed the edges.  A bit of paper embroidery tops off this card.

The little verse is in the set and makes a cute little banner from the raincloud!
Be sure to pop by the Prickley Pear blog and check out all of the other inspiration!!

Tea Bag Folded Wedding Card

How about a spot of Tea Bag Folding?  I made half of a tea bag medallion...and then did a bit of paper embroidery with metallic floss for this sparkly wedding wish!

The medallion was made with stamping floral stamps from Hero Arts with a Spectrum Rainbow Ink Pad.

Mr and Mrs is stamped on silver cardstock.  The center of the medallion has a gemstone sticker from The Paper Studio that I cut in half.

Here is another card that I did up for the Splitcoaststampers Dare To Get Dirty Challenges.  It was not part of the challenge, but I tangled the kite....This stamp is by Doodle Stamps and is meant to tangle.  How fun is that?

I accented the clouds and the edge of the card with a bit of Sakura Stardust pen.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Bendi Card

This is a Bendi Card....a new one for me!  I used the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.

I do not have rectangle dies, so I used a Rectangle Die cut card from The Paper Cut and an old SU! tool that you can trace a shape with a little metal disk.  I used the 1/8 inch disk to make a slightly smaller aperture on a piece of glossy card stock.

The flowers across the front are from a Martha Stewart Around the Page punch that I trimmed to fit.  The sun is from Our Craft Lounge.  The Duck is from Darcies and is colored with Copic markers and is attached to the inside of the card

Have you ever tried this sort of card?  Definitely out of my comfort zone, and it will take a small box to mail without crushing, but it was fun to make!

Mushroom Lane Library

This image from Riley and Company tugged at my heart and I just had to color it first!  I have loved to read since I was many hours spent tucked away in a corner reading a book!  Just love the whimsical style of the Mushroom Lane collection!

For this card I stamped and colored the image with Copic Markers.  I distressed the edges of the image for some fun dimension.  The background is actually a page out of an old dictionary that I bought at a rummage sale for just this purpose.  It was in rough shape and I have no less than 3 other old dictionaries that I bought for this purpose that I cannot use.  I love old dictionaries!

Sympathy Cards

Today I have a few Sympathy cards to share.  They are not always the easiest cards to make...but ones we always want to have on hand.

This card features a Memory Box Die and some black glossy paper that has been inked with metallics.  The paper is simple and the verse from Words To The Rescue is simple and perfect.
This is another Memory Box die and the glossy black cardstock.  The saying on this one is from Inky Antics.  I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to add interest to the background.

Today I have Lila Grey/Bloom Art's October Flower of the Month - Cosmos!
I colored the image with Copic Markers and then layered it onto Recollections paper that I added a touch of paper embroidery to.

I also cut a scalloped border with a Stampin Up punch and added some gold detailed washi tape for a finishing touch.

A Sweet Sort Of Day

Today's card was one I made for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  I can't share the challenge as it is exclusive to Splitcoaststampers subscribers, but I can tell you how I made this card.

First of all, the background is an embossing folder that I colored with distress markers and then spritzed with before embossing.  I added the color to the raised parts and was sparing with the water to achieve this effect.

The grass and window dies are from Cheery Lynn.

All of the flower, leaf and florished oval dies are from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps, as are all of the stamps.  Here is a list of the goodies I used on this card:

Flourished Oval Die
Spring Flourished Oval Stamp Set
Flowers Die Set
Flowers 2 Stamp Set
Blobby Flowers Die Set
Blobby Flowers 2 Stamp Set
Leaf Die Set

Another card from my paper garden this week!  Today's image from Lila Grey/Bloom Arts is the September Flower of the Month - Aster!

As with the other cards in this collection, papers are from the Recollections collection and I added paper embroidery to frame my card.  I fussy cut the images.  Thanks for stopping by!

More lovely flowers today from Bloom Art/Lila Grey....this is August's Flower of the Month Poppy.
I again used papers from the Recollection's Painted Fancy collection.  I just love the watercolored papers and the added glitter fun!

I added a paper embroidery border and then hand cut a border from one of the sheets to ground my Poppies that are colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and mounted on the card.

Thanks for popping by my paper garden today!

Today I am sharing the July Flower of the Month for Lila Grey.  These are digital images that I colored with Copic Markers and then fussy cut and mounted over a background.

The background paper is from Recollections and the die is from Cheery Lynn.  I did some paper embroidery to ground my layers and then popped the flowers on top.  A few flutterbies finished off my design.

Love Many Things

I did this card for the recent Dare to Get Dirty challenges over on SplitcoastStampers.  It was a challenge to use a multi-media background.  I created mine with a Tim Holtz stencil and alcohol inks and metalic silver ink.

I had fun pulling the other elements together....a border punch from Martha Stewart...silver cardstock and seam binding.

The Spring Flourished Oval stamps, Cardinal stamps and Flourished Oval and Butterfly dies are from Prickley Pear.  The butterfly I hand drew and tangled.  I just love how it turned out.  I added a touch of color for fun.

Umbrella Fun!

I have a fun card today for Prickley Pear using the Build an Umbrella clear set and Umbrella Die.

Before cutting my umbrella, I ran a piece of cardstock through my Xyron and then covered it with some ultrafine glitter.  Then I cut my umbrella out so I have a fun glittery umbrella!  The patterned pieces are simply stamped and cut out of designer paper.

The grass die is from Cheery Lynn.  I fussy cut the flowers from the set because I just know how I am!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Riley Moose and Mushroom Lane!

I had such fun making up this card featuring Popping out of the Cake Riley and the Funny Bones Eat Cake sentiment. The Riley is on an Action Wobblz, so he dances hilariously on the front of the card.  I piled on all sorts of goodies on this birthday creation....paper embroidery, glitter, embossing and flowers!
This card features the Church image from the new Mushroom Lane Collection.    I used a variety of washi tape, stickers and designer paper to create my scene.

Be sure to pop on by and check out the other designs this week!

These little mugs from Riley and Company made me think of the frosted mugs of root beer we used to get from A and W as kids!  This designer paper came to mind....and that was my inspiration.

The mugs are colored with Copic Markers and then covered with Glossy Accents.  On the bottom of the mugs I sprinkled some Crystal Ice microfine glitter into the wet Glossy Accents for the frosted feel and effect.

For the foam on the top of the root beer I used some snow white glitter which adds another fun tactile effect.  A few little enamel dots and Candi dots are my only embellishments.

Be sure to pop on over to the Riley and Company blog to see all of the other Design Team inspiration and check out the SALE info as well!

Cupcake Napkin Rings

When I saw the new Build A Cupcake clear set from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps, I couldn't wait to color the images up...and immediately thought about how fun it would be to make little napkin rings for a cupcake-themed birthday event!

They are quick and easy to make using a 6x6 paper pad.  I colored up my cupcake collection with Copic markers and thebn embellished them with Glossy Accents and Diamond Dust to mimic sugar.

I attached the cupcakes to my napkin rings with foam tape for an added POP of dimension.

Prickley Pear is Back!

I am so happy to share that Prickley Pear is back under new ownership....and I have the privilege of designing on the Design Team for the next 12 months!

My first card features the Day of the Dead Skull clear set. I paired this set up with Doodlebug's October 31 paper pad.  The images are cut out using the Skull die set.   The center skull is popped up on an Action Wobblz, so it wobbles spookily.    I embellished the skulls with gems and used a few Candi dots on the sentiment.

The sentiment is GG0063 When Black Cats Prowl.

Be sure to check out all of the fun cards being posted by the Design Team this week!  I look forward to sharing all of the other things I have been up to these past weeks!

Women Are Angels....

FINALLY!!!  I can start sharing all of the cards I have been making and holding until the release date!  Today's card features some fun images from Riley and Co. and Funny Bones.
SALE!!  $25 gets free shipping with code FREESHIP in during checkout. SALE!!

I stamped Riley on white cardstock and colored him up with Copic Markers.  I added a bit of fun to HER hat with some ultrafine glitter.  Fussy cutting is so fun as it eliminates the white cardstock and lets the fun papers show through.

Papers and gems are from Doodlebug's Oct 31 collection.  I raided my scrap bin for a bit of orange scalloped cardstock.  My card is framed with some paper embroidery to ground my card.

Hop on over to The Ink Spot blog to check out the other samples shared today!
