Happy Spring!

Oh, the snow is melting....and spring is waiting in the wings!  I just had to play with some springy images for today's Prickley Pear post!  Just love Penny...and I have colored her up in pink plenty of times...but today she has on a blue frock!  I used some designer paper from my bins and a piece of a recycled greeting card to create her springy scene!  There is a bit of a grass die cut there from Cheery Lynn.  Sentiments is from the Clear Build A Bird 2 set.
This card fell together out of my bins of bits and pieces. I used the following images:
Live, Dance, Laugh
Butterflies Clear Set
Butterfly Die
Blobby Flowers 2 Clear Set
Blobby Flowers Die

All images are stamped on scraps of designer paper and then highlighted with a white gel pen.

Cupped Roses for Art Gone Wild

Today's post is for Art Gone Wild featuring Cupped Roses by Catherine Scanlon.  I have to say these images are super fun to color if you enjoy such activities!  I love changing the color combinations and papers and embellishments and seeing how many different combinations I can come up with!

I color my images with Copic Markers and fussy cut them....another relaxing activity with the right scissors!
This card features the entire image and is 5 x 7 inches.  I added paper embroidery to frame my image.

Bloom Arts Allium Spray!

Lisa at Bloom Arts has released this beautiful floral digital image, Allium Spray, with two ways to get it!  You can purchase the image or you can join her on Patreon and get this and so much more!  Read all about it on her blog post.

For my card, I printed the image out in the 3x5 size and then colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut the image.  The background is a piece of glossy paper that I did the polished stone technique on with purple and pink alcohol inks and silver reinker.  The lace is a pretty light green in real life and there are a few iridescent sequins sprinkled on for a fun touch.    The Allium is popped up on foam tape for dimension and is accented with a Stardust and Signo White Gel pen.
This is another of the images that I printed out as a 3x5 image, however this time I did not fussy cut it. I stamped a great Torn Text backgound stamp over.  Then, I colored the stems and flower outlines with Copic markers.

I then colored the flowers on a second printed image and fussy cut those and added them to the image with glue dots.  This just adds a touch of dimension and is much quicker than cutting out the entire image.

I again accented the image with a Signo white gel pen and a Stardust pen.  I love how the sentiment looks as if it is tied to the stem of the bloom.

I am so happy to be able to share more Bloom Arts flowers....I just love creating with them!
Gives one a touch of spring fever!!!

Leave a Little Sparkle Wherever You Go!

Hello!  My, it's been a month since I posted...this time of year always gets me.....and life has been busy....but I've missed sharing and will get back to it!  Today's post is for Riley and Co and This card has to be my favorite!   I used Shopping Bag Sophie as my focal image.

She is cute and all as she is....but now that we have the Dress Up Riley collections, how can I not dress her up?  She has just been on a shopping spree and things are strewn all the springy collection that she has been shopping....all right out of my scrap bin!

The card is hand-stitched with some shiny embossing floss that I picked up at a thrift it!
The second card features the Car Riley image that I colored up and fussy cut.  Leave a Little Sparkle is a great new image from this release.  I just had to glitter the word sparkle as well as Riley's scarf!  Everything on this card shimmers...such fun!
Finally, Clown car Riley is such a cute image and a hoot to color!  I paired it up with a scrap paper and some gems and sequins and a touch of paper embroidery for an explosion of fun!  The Happy Birthday is part of the How Do I Like My Eggs sentiment.

I'd love to hear which card you like the best of the trio!

A Couple Cuppas!

I have a few cards today featuring Endless Creations images. I just love tangling the cup and adding different icons onto the belly band.  For my first card I added a fun stitched heart.
For my second card I added a fun customized greeting!

Riley and Co Designer Highlight - Coaster Box

Hello there!  Today's Designer Highlight features Michelle Pearson ~ Inspiration Blooms

I have made stamping my hobby for over 20 years!  I love to color and cut and create all sorts of cards from flowery to fun.  I dabble with paper embroidery and Zentangle, and my newest fun is incorporating stamping into my planner.  Why not make the mundane fun?    I have worked on a variety of design teams and teach workshops in my home. Stamping is cheaper than therapy!

I live with my husband, son and daughter in a small Wisconsin town.  When I'm not stamping I love to putter in my flower beds, canning/freezing food and spend time with my family.  I am an Lilla Rose Stylist and enjoy sharing hair accessories made with music wire at craft/vendor shows and at home boutiques!
My project today started out to be a coaster box with each side decorated for a month of the year...however if a banner is more your thing...just make each coaster and time them together to form a banner.  I have made five months of the year here starting with December.
December is the first month I made using the new Dress Up Rileys sets and dies.  Details on this month's tile feature paper piecing for the skiis and winter apparel.  A torn edge makes for a perfect ski hill!

January's tile is one of my favorites as I got to make a fun holiday sweater and a fancy cocoa mug by stamping strategically onto designer paper!  I hit the snowflakes on the embossing folder with a white ink pad to make them pop just a bit.  Again...a torn edge is the perfect snowy base for Riley!

February's tile is sweet with candy hearts stamped in pink ink....just perfectly mimicing conversation hearts so popular this time of year!

March's tile features a fun glittered background I made.  And the conversation hearts were so cute in February, why not have some conversation shamrocks?

For April, I paired the sweater with the jumper and irish hat to make a sweet little outfit!  I cut an element from the paper to adorn the sweater.
I will be completing the year as new sets are released....and you can take a peek at these in the Riley and Co booths this year in the form of a banner!!

Here are a few peeks of other creations I have made featuring Riley and Co images.
I love pairing papers with images and this one just makes me happy!
Stamps used:  Mushroom Lane Library

This card was just so fun with the tissue tape that mimics the mummy.
Stamps used:  Mummy Riley and a Funny Bones Sentiment.

This is a fun shaker card.  I stamped the diamond onto acetate and colored the back with Copic Markers before fussy cutting and adding to the shaker box!

Another favorite Mushroom Lane image Winter House.  I love the fussy cutting and dimension on this card!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my Riley and Co work!  I hope you found something to inspire you!

Flowers and Tea!

And it's FRIDAY!  I have two more cards to finish up my week of Prickley Pear creations!
This card just makes me smile...such a pop of spring!

Bunny Cart
Spring/Easter Banner Clear Set
Banner Die
Riley and Co's Word Bubble Die Square

I used the  Word Bubble Die to frame my adorable bunny cart image.  How fun!  The images are colored with Copic markers and they coordinate perfectly with the flower vellum!

This card has a fun distressed look.  I stamped the heart image 2nd generation and then inked the background with Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries distress inks and sprayed with water.  I stamped the design element from the Love Banner set around the edge as a frame and the tea image in the center.   I stamped the tea cup again on white cardstock and then fussy cut and popped it onto the card with foam tape.  The banners are stamped tone on it has the rose banner which is a perfectly fun and subtle touch.

Love Banner Clear Set
Banner Die
Tea Time

So that finishes up my cards for this week's feature of Prickley Pear goodness!  Here are the sales one last time if you have been tempted to add to your stamp collection!

Banners and Bunnies....

Happy Thursday!  Today for the Prickley Pear release I am featuring both of the new banner sets.

Love Banner Clear Set
Banner Die
Valentine Cupcake Clear Set
Cupcake Die

One little fun idea is to use small elements in a set to create design elements and embellishments on your cards.  I used the bow from the cupcake set to make a bow garland.  I used a banner to create a fun themed grounding element for my cupcake.

Here is another way to use the banner stamps...I stamped them into a fun springy background.

Valentines and Easter Inspiration!

For today's Prickley Pear release post I am sharing some of the holiday images.  Happy Valentine's Day is colored with Copic markers.  I made it into a shaker card by using a polished stone frame.  I used clear microbeads and iridescent sequins for the shaker elements.   The birdcage was in my bin of bits and very victorian and perfect for this ornate valentine!

My second card today features the Spring/Easter Banner set and die. I did a fun basket weave design with the banners to frame the Wishing You An Easter sentiment.

The sentiment is stamped and die cut with the Word Bubble Dies Square from Riley and Co.
I topped some Prima style flowers with Blobby Flower 2 flowers that I stamped on designer paper, die cut and accented with a white gel pen.

Here are some fabulous specials to check out on the Prickley Pear website!

Faith, Love and Happiness

It's day two of the Prickley Pear release and I have some floral creations to share today!

This card features the Celtic Border stamp again..and again I partially covered up the shamrocks on this image...they show a bit but just look like leaves and blend into the design of the paper I chose.
I colored the Pot of Gold and Flowers image and fussy cut it, popping it onto the card with foam tape. I colored the Shamrock Swag as flowers and fussy cut it before popping it on the top of my card.  I shall just have to use that image again as a shamrock! There Is One Happiness is the perfect verse to finish up this card.
My second card features Faith from Riley and Co and the Shamrocks image.  I colored them up with Copic Markers and have framed them on a Polished Stone background that really makes the image pop!

You can check out all of the new release and specials at Prickley Pear.

Prickley Pear Release Day 1

Happy Monday!  This week we are featuring the new release from Prickley Pear!
This first card features the Valentine Cupcake set and die.  This set features a whole new collection of frosting and cupcake wrappers.    I added a touch of white gel pen and a gem to dress mine up a bit.
The sentiment is actually Abs Are Great from the new Funny Bones release.
This image is Be Mine Forever and it made for a fun collage/shabby chic card with paper embroidery and a bit of distressing!
My last card today features three images:  Celtic Border, Tall Cross and Wishing You An Easter
I white embossed the Celtic Border onto designer paper.  I covered up the shamrocks for this card and added the cross with foam tape and a few springy flowers.
And finally, here are some dandy sales for you to check out at Prickley Pear!

Mini Vacation....

I am going to post one more day of Riley and Company cards since my blog will be busy with Prickley Pear next week.  This card features the Mushroom Lane Hospital image.   I colored it up with red and white....but it just needed a blue roof instead of a grey or brown one!

This sentiment makes me laugh....I really did hate nap time when I was younger....and now.....let's just say I agree a bit more with Riley!

Good & Bright & Beautiful!

Happy Friday!  Thought I would share this cheery little place on Mushroom Lane as this is the last day of the Riley and Co celebration week.  Next week pop on by for a whole week of inspiration featuring the Prickley Pear much to share!

This is the Mushroom House 3 that I colored up with Copic markers.  I added a bit of white gel pen detailing on the roof and some stardust shimmer on the underside of the roof and windows.
I paired the image up with the Funny Bones You Remind Me image.

And here is my final card for this release showcase.  I used Funny Bones Make It Yourself and paired it up with Clear Winter Accessories Set, Winter Accessories Die Set, Riley Basic Red Rubber Stamp Set, Riley Basic Die Set and Word Bubble Dies Set - Squares (RD06).

Found a few little craft supplies to embellish this card in the button bin...a spool of thread, a crocheted flower..and check out the scissors dangling next to Riley's hoof! Looks like the craft room is all decked out for fun!

Just had to dress her up all pretty with paper piecing.  I have to admit...that is one of my favorite things about this release is making cute little outfits for all of the cards!

Riley and Co Release Day 3, Hints of Spring!

I would have to say that the Mushroom Lane's Tree Stump House (ML-2428) is one of my favorite images from this is so whimsical and reminds me of the books The Borrowers and The Littles from my childhood.  So many stories could be told of the goings on in this sweet little dwelling!
I paired this image up with some new clear stamps from Prickely Pear that will be released next week!  The banners and die make for a fun embellishment as well as card sentiment!

This card features a new Funny Bones sentiment Camping Without WiFi RWD-572 and the new Word Bubble Dies Set - Squares (RD06).  I just love the way the word dies pop the sentiment in such a clean and fun way!

Tent Riley is not a new image, but it fit this sentiment perfectly!  I colored the image with Copic markers before fussy cutting it.  I needed some trees, so I freehand cut some pine trees from my paper collection.

I hope you are loving this Riley and Company Release!  I would love to hear which of today's card catches your eye!
